Topic: Managing DNS records at Sibername

Hey everyone,

When I click 'Manage DNS Records' at Sibername, depending on the domain (all CA though) I am either taken to "https://www.sibername.com/en/my/domains/editzone.php" or "dns.bll.myorderbox.com"

Does anyone know the difference? The "https://www.sibername.com/en/my/domains/editzone.php" page looks really nice and neat while the "dns.bll.myorderbox.com" page looks clunky and outdated

I'm not exactly sure why, but the difference lies in whether you acquired the name via TBR or whether you bought the domain as a handreg.

Handregs at Siber will have the less appealing "dns.bll.myorderbox.com" DNS manager, whereas TBR acquisitions will have the fancier "https://www.sibername.com/en/my/domains/editzone.php" DNS manager.

Re: Managing DNS records at Sibername

Thanks @Esdiel, i'm seeing a mix though...TBR names have the bad "dns.bll.myorderbox.com" interface while handregs have the "https://www.sibername.com/en/my/domains/editzone.php" one

I'm contacting support now because something is funky.

All my nameservers are pointing to the new Afternic landing pages (NS5.Afternic.com/NS6.Afternic.com) but some are rendering ok and some are still showing the old Afternic landing page with the inquiry form...so I'm wondering if it's related

Re: Managing DNS records at Sibername

Spoke to Sibername chat and here's the response...

These both are different interfaces managing your DNS records. Our old Advance DNS management area is at https://www.sibername.com/en/my/domains/editzone.php and the new one at dns.bll.myorderbox.com. They also have different name servers managing them

All these will be migrated into one in the next few months but I do not have an ETA on that

Seems odd that the "new" interface is the uglier one

Re: Managing DNS records at Sibername

Hi, thank you for this thread. We're currently working on a migration plan to bring new matching or better features to WHC and then migrate the Sibername customers to WHC, DNS management will be unified after this. I don't have a ETA for this either at this point, but this is a high-priority project for us.

Thanks @FM

Sorry for not tagging you, but don't worry I'm not complaining or anything. I was just questioning the difference...mostly to see if it's affecting the rendering of the new Afternic landers. Because all my names are set up as per Afternic's requirements (BIN + new Nameservers) but some are showing the new pages and some are showing the old pages and Afternic says the problem isn't with them

If you want to DM me some of the names or email them to me, I can take a look. We're trying to avoid additional development on Sibername at the moment though :)
