Domains went missing from account at NameSilo.com (1.Viewing)

The same thing happened to me with NameSilo a few years ago when I was using them. I had a .com domain and renewed it through NameSilo, so the expiration date was pushed from 2023 to 2024, and NameSilo showed the new 2024 expiration date.

But in 2024, when my domain stopped resolving, I realized the actual WHOIS record with the registry still showed the 2023 expiration date, so the domain had expired. Meanwhile, my NameSilo dashboard still showed 2024 as the expiration date, which is why no renewal reminder or warning email was sent to me.

I was able to recover it and then moved all my inventory to a different registrar.

NameSilo told us something went wrong with the registry and blamed the registry, but this has never happened to me with any other registrar. I never touched NameSilo again after that.
