I just thought something similar had happened to me at another registrar... I won't name the registrar, because it turns out that I had transferred the domain elsewhere to test something....

Posted about NameSilo recently and customer lost domains and still hasn’t gotten it back.
Domains went missing from account at NameSilo.com

This is why you don't hold domains at registrars who gain an income from selling off your expired domains.
