You use that to strip furniture … 🤣🤣🤣

Just don't drink pop at all, as it's viewed as the worst legal consumable you can put in your body. In addition to all the chemicals, either the sugar will make you fat and diabetic or the fake sweetener will give you cancer. Take your pick.

I had a friend who got seriously into Coca-cola when he was a teen. He was an otherwise athletic, fit person but would drink 5-10 cans a day and bought cases at a time. He died at 26.

I also read Michael J Fox was a big Diet Pepsi addict when was younger (he got it free from doing that classic Diet Pepsi commercial) and would drink it like it was water. People just assumed it was totally safe, even Hollywood stars.

I heard a podcast where a guy cut out drinking from plastic bottles because of microplastics, and starting buying his drinks only in glass bottles. When they did a study on the drinks in the glass bottles, they found as much or more microplastics in there too.

I remembered Warren Buffet liked to drink Coke so I looked it up, and he was still drinking 5 cans of Coke per day at 93 years old. That was a couple years ago, not sure if he still does. I can't imagine ingesting that much sugar per day from a drink with 0 nutrition value.

Sure, and his team of doctors and nutritionists probably pump him full of all kinds of stuff to clean him out, otherwise he'd be sick or dead by now.

The ultra-rich live under different rules than we do.

They also probably did studies and found that 5 cans of coke was the most a human could ingest daily and still live, while drinking half a 24-case a day would kill you over a 20 year period, even with medical offsets. Limits matter, as I was generous on the 5-10 cans of Coke my late friend would drink as that would be an average, but I know on weekends with nothing but time on his hands, he'd go through a case a day. It was his water.

I used to drink Diet Coke regularly but after this, I dropped cola drinks entirely and other than the odd rye & ginger, I don't drink pop at all.

I still love a pepsi on ice, but I try really hard not to drink it anymore, and I've cut 99% of it out. And I've never really trusted (or liked the taste of) other sweeteners, so yes, it was the full sugar stuff. When you are younger and active, you can get away with drinking quantities like a normal reasonable human, maybe one or two a day, but now that I'm closing in on 60, I can't even do that anymore. So now, about the only exception I make is also for the odd rye & ginger.

I also know a guy who drank two 2-liters a day of mountain dew for much of his life, he's my age, I'm surprised he's still alive. He's so addicted to sugar that when we go backpacking for a week, he brings an entire bag of sugar and makes tea with it, and its gone by the end of the week. It's insane. But all that sugar is finally catching up to him.

Back in the day, you thought you were being healthy by giving your kids juice instead of pop, but its every bit as bad.

Interesting combination

The only time I have Coke is a rum & coke zero but I never drink alone so I don't get to drink it much, guests hardly ever drink anymore.
crown & gingerale is very good, but I’ve never tried it with a diet ginger ale. But I honestly would rather drink the sugar version than the diet version. it’s a treat, not a regular thing.

an old fashioned is also pretty good.
