AI Generated Content (1.Viewing)

I'm 100% for it, I was going to cancel my YouTube premium because off all the fake BS videos. I would research a new car or motorcycle and all this fake BS would come up and I would watch 5 min of a video before realizing it was complete fake. Car videos were some of the worst, anything about new cars was fake.

The voice, the videos, the content all BS and it was watering down youtube to nothing content.

To all the crybaby's..... you know you cheated and used AI and you got caught, the channel was deleted. Start again and create REAL content, if you want to be paid you have to put in the work!!!

Have you watched any Disney or marvel stuff? You've been watching AI generated content for longer than you know.

They're demonetizing low quality / ai channels and also suspending accounts.

I saw tweets complaining their channels were wrongly demonetized or suspended so I checked some of their channels, and it's the worst content.

fake animal rescue videos
fake documentaries
impersonation videos
construction time lapse
inappropriate child cartoons

They were not labelling it as ai. They're trying to mass produce ai videos to scam YouTube.

The entire world is just one big scam and the stress this is producing in western nations is palpable. Social media was bad enough, but now that the AI genie is out of the bottle, we're pretty well at humanity's endgame.

And this was all foretold by top scientists during the Internet's infancy, with the predicted outcome of computer models being online political and ideological factions radicalizing and creating an ever-growing divide between the general population, group-think promoting violence, misogyny, and radical ideologies being given a dark place to grow, massive population migration based on the top 0.01% of western lifestyles being widely promoted across the globe, with the world finally descending into chaos and warfare.

Anything there sound familiar?

The "lunatics take over the asylum" and "everyone picks a side" part was quite prevalent, and points back to our general human nature to want to belong and be "part of the herd", as well as those with the most free time (unemployables, the mentally ill, students, the idle rich, etc.) would be given the loudest online voice.

And these computer models didn't even take into consideration the presence of AI. It was just a "what the hell is going to happen as the Internet expands and takes over our lives?" kind of scenario. With AI, everything is accelerating a lot faster than anticipated.

No AI influencing my decisions at the moment

Segments of AI are definitely a bubble, but not AI overall. People who use AI to streamline workflows will flourish. But the b.s. ai generated content will have its day of reckoning, and soon. I went down the rabbit hole for a tour of facebook reels last night and it was 90% AI garbage that only grandma in a nursing home on her ipad are going to read because they're too naive to realize it is b.s. People will stop using the platform. Around 15 years ago, google introduced a landing page quality score because of a similar issue, the ad arbitrage people were devaluing the platform and google stopped it in its tracks. That day is coming AI b.s. on tiktok, facebook reels, instagram, etc...

Segments of AI are definitely a bubble, but not AI overall.

AI is a bubble and the old "survival of the fittest" will result in 99.9% of AI companies falling by the wayside or being eaten by competitors, while the 0.1% will own the vast majority of the market share. It's a tale as old as time and it will play out with AI the same way it did in every other emerging technology.

I remember when 3D GPU tech was first announced; it was the next big thing and there were hundreds of companies developing new products and technologies. In no time at all, there were only four to five left standing, and for the past 20-25 years there have been only two major players, with NVIDIA owning 95% of the market and AMD holding 5%.

It's just how things work when moving from an emerging market to a mature market - only the strong, smart and rich survive.

So in no time at all, we'll be looking at a couple of monolithic AI companies and virtually everything else will be dead and buried. Scary thought, huh?
