Canadian Tire acquired the Hudson Bay brand and its associated domains. However, there are conflicting reports online regarding whether they also acquired Zellers.

Now Woolco and Kmart have to come back 
Did you forget Sears, Blockbuster and Target??
Target.ca also forwards to the .com so it looks like they have not completely given up on Canada.
If they bought it at that price, I can see them filing chapter 9 againI think kmart.ca is for sale

It was acquired by the company that owned Bowring and Bombay. IIRC, it sold for $100,000 a few months after HBC's IP was sold to Canadian Tire, so I assume they passed on the opportunity to buy it.
