Get your personal authorization code on Afternic under Account - Ownership Settings

There are actually two changes

I know, I just don't give a crap about the other one. Like many people I've been waiting on Afternic ownership verification for years.

Time to clear out the hobos trying to front-run my domains.

But it still needs to be fully tested to make sure it works.

For example, GoDaddy has authorization codes but they don't work. If there is an old listing or someone is fraudulently trying to sell your domain on GD, the domain is greyed out on the processing screen and you still need to email GD support.

I would say it's 50-50 that when you try to list a domain that's already on Afternic, you'll still get the Big Red X.

I tried this out with the third name server.

The verification works.

The third name server seems to mess up the dns and needs to be deleted afterwards.

well that's stupid, but not surprising. Personally, I think the TXT record is a better idea that the third nameserver (thus avoiding the problem just mentioned), but, the nameserver might be more universally easy to implement for the average domain owner.
