Has anyone successfully change Contact WHOIS info at WHC?

Doesn't matter what profile I use or what I do changing contact info throws up an error.

Supports only answer so far was they could make the change for me but I am testing my account and I remember this being an issue even back a few years when I was with WHC.

When it says choose contact in the drop down it has Primary Profile Data and one that is my Personal Name.
There is only one profile to update in the control panel so that seems a bit odd too.

Sorry guys, I need to bump this one

Can anyone using WHC please check to see if they can change any part of their WHOIS contact?

I cannot change anything on any of my domains there.

This is problematic, especially because of this post by @richard.schreier
Epik can't pay any of its users right now

It is exceedingly important to keep whois data accurate.

Nope, always needs to go through support from what I've seen.

[cough] baremetal [cough]...

That's seriously messed up
Understatement of the year, cira needs to make sure approved registrars have a means for domain owners to change whois without assistance.

What about other manual registrars like @namesproCA or myid, can you change whois there without a service ticket?

@Nafti you have a lot of domains at namespro right?

Seriously, whois is so easy at godaddy, I never imagined this was even a thing at other registrars, I just assumed everyone was able to change their whois info.

PS. I have opened a service ticket at WHC and been in communication with @efalcon & @FM and I am told they are working on this issue.

The funny thing is the standard control panel they are using comes with this working packaged right out of the box. I remember using the same control panel at Canspace and it worked there. The new Epik all.ca also uses the same control panel but I'm not sure if they are ever going to get off the ground now. I may have register a $15.03 USD domain there to test it out.

I do have a few there. I have never had to change Whois there but I have pushed a few domains into someone else’s account and vice versa. That is definitely something that WHC is missing is the automatic push like Namespro.

It seems we have an issue with managing the registrant contact in particular. Improving contact and bulk management (asynchronous for larger lists), is something we're going to be working on this year.

While some of the additional features might take a bit longer, we're working on a more immediate fix in a shorter timeframe. In the meantime, if you need any assistance, please reach out to our support team or me. Thank you for your support.

Keep up the good work WHC team!

If the info is updated on the losing registrar, it should transfer over correctly, no?

True - but if you change the registrant, Godaddy will lock the domain for 60 days again... That's not a CIRA rule, that's just GoDaddy policy. Other registrars wont lock your domain if you change registrant details. But for some reason, godaddy does lock it (at least that's what happened to me).

WHC locks it as well which bums me out.

On my godaddy I could select lock or not

Contact edits should now work again, a fix was deployed two days ago. It's not entirely where I want it, but we'll work more on it.

I wasn't aware that we lock .CAs for 60 days on contact change - I know we have a warning about it in the interface, but it might not apply to .CAs directly registered through us. It might apply for some older Sibername registrations potentially, though. I'll need to double-check this.

I still got an error yesterday with whois new panel, cannot check now, on road.

The 60 day lock needs to go through, maybe you can confirm that because the warning is pretty clear.
I'll test the contact changes too.

I know the warning, because I wrote it ;-) but I'm pretty sure it was made stronger sounding for other TLDs where this applies... I'll check.
