auctions are month long now?
Looks like it. May be @CatchDrop should be alerted here.Is this a bug that's adding 30 days to the auctions @CatchDrop?
Implementing a new bidding policy?
BareMetal's is a week too if I recall...
haha yeah totally agreeYes, Baremetal's is a week, in fact Crepe.ca is in auction right now from last week's TBR run. Their site says the auctions end 45 minutes after the current weeks TBR run or something like that. So that would be ending in like 20 minutes or so from now. I'm not sure its the optimal time to end an auction though, a full week later and I feel like people have moved on and are thinking about other auctions by then. I feel like the post-auction should be closer to the drop, like Thursday or Friday at the latest. I remember pool used to do auctions on Monday. The problem for me was that it was kinda out-of-mind by then, more focused on the new week than anything.
haha yeah totally agree
I completely forgot about a domain once, then boom, an email arrives thanking me for a payment which scared the hell out of me for a second lol
Happy ending though, wanted that domain
Hi,Nice, I guess that's better than finding out you lost the domain you really wanted! In any case, its a good example of why I think TBR auctions should strike while the iron is hot, right Thursday morning is when MyID and WHC do it. After that, I think its out-of-sight-out-of-mind. I think catchdrop is also doing it a week later too.
In fact I had a weird experience at catchdrop today with a week old auction. I logged in to check the status of an auction that I think I had just missed the ending of unfortunately, but the auction page said 23:58 minutes remaining, so I thought, weird, they extended the auction for 24 hours (which I didn't think their auction rules said they did), but thought, ok, I still have a chance. Then later I go back and it says the auction is ended. Clearly still some bugs to work out there @CatchDrop
It was ferretti. I legit missed the end of the auction, so my bad, but just by a minute or so. So I'm not trying to complain I missed the auction end unfairly or anything like that. However, I promise the web page did show that the auction end was now in 23 hrs 50-some minutes - after the time the auction should have ended. No idea how that happened, but it definitely did, and I very surely thought, I guess Lawyer77 dude bid last minute and extended the auction. And I thought cool, I'll get another chance to bid tomorrow before it ends. And then I went back later and it showed the auction had ended...Hi,
I could guarantee that there were no glitches at all today with the auctions, we had a bug last week and have since resolved the issue.
Our entire team was closely monitoring all auctions today until the last second and everything was fine from what we observed.
Are you sure time didn't just fly by? lol
Which domain was this for? We will definitely investigate and check the logs.
Ok, now I think I could explain what it was. When the auction ends at the last second, the time left displays 23h59m for approximately 2 to 4 seconds before displaying ENDED. It's something that will be corrected to display directly ENDED.It was ferretti. I legit missed the end of the auction, so my bad, but just by a minute or so. Also, It's a great time to let everyone know that CatchDrop Auctions END at 21:00 UTC (4pm EST) every Wednesday
Save the date & Happy catching to All

want more inventory? lolI think its the highly sought after domainforum.ca
Well now that I know that I can start my one day work week that I've been meaning to implement
If things go exactly the way I want it may even be reduced to an afternoon if we can fit all TBR and auction stuff into that time
In all seriousness, I've been thinking about doing just domaining, I own so many domains now that this thing is becoming pretty serious. I could do everything on the road or sitting on the beach. This being tied down is a drag.
Perfect to have CatchDrop line up right in that time frame.
send me the photos lolPS. @CatchDrop I just verified my account
For members that don't know...
1. You take a picture of the front of your drivers licence using your phone.
2. Then a headshot pic
3. It's verified, in my case under 3 minutes

I can recommend one but you are expected to divest the portfolio first. LolNo I don't. Its an addiction... Anyone know a good therapist?
