The https certificate has expired for all.ca but the site is still live FOR NOW.

I was thinking they could make at least some money by throwing this thing into an auction of some kind.

I didn't think epik actually owned it, it was a partnership. I could use an excuse to call that guy, but, it might feel like rubbing salt in the wound to even talk about it. I can only imagine he's getting screwed one way or another in this himself.

I would consider purchasing the entire all.ca asset base.

My idea would be to turn the registrar into a holding account that holds domains until transactions are complete.

Then I would partner with a payment service like wise and put something in place and lastly I would finish the landing pages at DN to tie it all together as a proper marketplace.

Even dan needed that, a proper marketplace needs to be a registrar as well and when I looked at that it was too labour intensive for me. At times I wished I would have bought TigerDomains from @theinvestor because that would have given me a huge leg up on this.

I have more time now since I stepped back from one of my companies so I'm putting more effort into dn. The first part of that was a funding drive with make it self sufficient and then to reinvest into some of the technologies. A .ca registrar would make life a lot easier but for the purpose of holding domains securely, not necessarily being a selling registar, more like a vault instead. A registrar that leans heavily in the domainers favour.

Anyways, I might be giving away too much and am currently drafting proposals. I got a bit discouraged when namepoos ran with my lander idea, that took a little wind out of my sail but I've come to the conclusion that we are exclusive .ca and in any relaunch we will probably focus solely on .ca. I would not even attempt .com or anything else because that space is too populated already.

It is might be attainable.

Whatever is left after the asset transfer are basically the turd assets and/or assets carrying serious debts.
