Topic: anything other than cash?
If you saw my Sold post, you'll know what triggered the topic.
So I had an offer today on a one-worder that I had priced at $15K, we've been negotiating a good month now, and I'm not backing down and they're not coming up. But today the offer was, my partner is a big lawyer, how about they give you $15K in services?
a) Now I don't feel too bad about the price if your partner is a big lawyer.
b) I haven't even used a lawyer in over a decade, and if I did, I already have a great relationship with a top notch industry specific one.
c) I have real cash invested in domains, so I wouldn't ever do it for 100% services, unless I really needed to use those services immediately, and only if I thought you were a top notch provider of said services.
d) Clearly they like the domain enough that they haven't gone with something else yet. But I'm not sure this is really going anywhere. At this point I'm stressing the payment or lease plan. If not, I'll be sticking a fork in this negotiation.
So... after the long setup, here's the question:
Has anyone sold a domain for anything other than 100% cash that they're willing to reveal? Just wondering if there's been any other fun or creative ideas out there.
