Currently rewatching Person of Interest and it's quite amazing how prescient this show is in many ways, especially how selfish and short-sighted people willingly build the infrastructure for an ASI whose only role is to kick us back down the food chain.
There is a huge trap door here and AI doesn't even try to hide it. They tell us to please move a bit to the left or right because you're not quite in that trap door area yet. And we move.
My kids have never seen, or even heard of, POI and after watching several episodes, they said (almost in unison) "How did this show get made?"
