Typically companies only report domain name transactions to investors (in financial statements) if they're material to their business. The bigger the company, the harder it is for transactions to meet that standard. That's why some of the big 7+ figure deals from FaceBook, SalesForce, etc. never show up in their financials (if we're lucky, and the seller is smaller, we might find out via the seller's financials).

For Canadian stocks, we have SEDAR:

to use for searches. Unfortunately, they don't appear to have full text searches, which would make it very time consuming to search each document. I checked a couple of the Canadian Tire ones manually (didn't find anything), but until they improve their search capability, I don't have the time to find that elusive needle in the haystack using their antiquated systems.
 
P.S. This is *not* a recent acquisition. According to the historical WHOIS at DomainTools, that domain has had Canadian Tire nameservers since Nov 2018:

They bought this domain wayyyy before 2018. If I recall it was like 2010 or 2012.


EDIT : Going through archive.com shows it well before that as well. In 2003 it was redirecting to TD bank and in 2004 it started redirecting to Canadian Tire.

I saw the update on whois after I got the Canadian Tire email

Nonetheless it is an upgrade for Canadian Tire to go from myCTFS.com to CTFS.com regardless of how long it took.
 
I still go to canadiantire.ca ... I type three letters and google completes for me.
 
Honestly I don’t even know who goes to ctfs.ca or .com. Their store website is located at Canadiantire.ca. Whoever is going to ctfs is simply going to log in to check credit card statements. I don’t even do that. I have the app and I just check everything there. It’s just like if you bank with TD or Scotia etc. Very few things you can’t do on the app.

CTFS.com is now for the credit card and banking plus a portal for pretty well everything else.

It is not about the retail aspect, it is for the Financial arm of Canadian Tire.

I had an account there when interest was paid at 1.8%

Yes, I know. I have a credit card with them. My point is I have never had to log in there. I use the app to do everything. I get access to everything there.
 
Canadian Tire has a bunch of other domains, for example also eflyer.com (doesn't resolve).
