As a team we need to elect someone that wants to be on it that has our voice.
I am for supporting anyone.

It used to be we got one vote for each domain we owned, it should still be like that. ;)
Then we would have power.

@FM is running?
I did not make it to the NomCom slate this time, so I'm not sure if it makes sense. I've been on the member's slate multiple times and haven't been successful, so I'm not 100% sure if it makes sense doing that again. I'm debating it.

How does one apply, can one do it remotely or would that person have to be at CIRA head office daily?
The application is done through the website. Elected board members serve three-year terms. During this time they’re expected to serve on committees and attend at least five board meetings and the AGM in September. I understand that the board meetings are mostly virtual at the moment.

Board members are remunerated for their time and reimbursed for expenses.

I can make time and would consider it if I thought I could get enough support.

That said, if you could not get enough support my chances are probably nil.

The domainer vote by itself is not enough - IIRC you need about 200+ votes to get in.

If only they give you a vote for each domain we have as Adam said. It would be a BREEZE for you!!

Will support you Frank. Go for it.
Thank you

As a group we should be able to come up with 200+ CIRA voters right?

Imagine having domainers represented at CIRA, to finally have a voice and feel represented.

That said, CIRA is a sponsor here and Bill Sweetman @MaiTaiMan just introduced me to Adam Eisner.

I just feel my chances on the NomCom slate would be better, but I don't seem to make it there, probably due to my lack of not-for-profit experience. I'll think about it again over the weekend. Thank you for your support.

Sorry for the late reply - but I won't be running this year, but I will consider again next year.
