We heard your feedback: you want increased exposure on GoDaddy. Afternic Boost is our answer.

Participating domains receive:
  • Higher visibility in GoDaddy’s suggested search results
  • “Verified” badges on exact-match searches for Fast Transfer domains
  • “Verified” badges on domain landers
  • Targeted email marketing campaigns to potential buyers

Introducing Afternic Boost: More domain visibility, more domain sales - Afternic Blog

Other than the Badges and the e-mail list. GoDaddy used to show the domains in the search results until it was removed earlier this year. Now it's added back for 5% extra commission.

It's almost like wanting more than 3 appraisals per day, sirst they stick it in your account, then you get charged for it.

Kind of reminds me of Gmail, google photos etc... free is never free, it always comes at a price when you start being dependent on it.

This essentially turns GoDaddy into a "pay for positioning" company, which is a feature I'm not sure buyers will like.

Domain buyers want to see the best matches for their search queries, not junk listings that some knothead paid GD to artificially get higher positioning.

I just got the email and I couldn't believe it's a negative option deal and unless you opt out, you'll automatically be enrolled and paying 20% (or 30% if you don't have GD nameservers).

Talk about getting "Boosted". Insane.

I learned about HD from DNW article.

Had concerns about the Afternic Boost and some feedback that. i sent to my rep a month ago and no response. He said he hasn't gotten answers.
Instead of answering questions, they're choosing to ignore / avoid answering it. Seeing at NP thread as well.

Before I come to the main point of this post, let me share something called nonsense Boost which is there to grab an extra 5% commission from our sales. I’ve personally opted-out. Even if the sales will be affected, I’ll not opt-in because it’s not worth it… at least to me and many other domain investors I’ve discussed so far. The same thing which already existed is now being charged in the name of boost! I’m not falling for this trap.
