Is this the end of domain sales for me? (1.Viewing)

😓 Is this the end of domain sales for me?
It's no secret that I have been outspoken about both
@afternic

@godaddy
(for them killing Dan and afternic marketplace and also messing up godaddy search) and
@atomHQ
(for their change in search algorithm which made me go from 6-12 sales a year to just 1 premium domain sale last year.) I might have haters but I speak facts. Here are a couple more.
Check out the search on both of them for the term Vista. They are interestingly showing names starting with Vista but my http://vistaking.com is nowhere on Godaddy and on the 17th line on Atom. I would love to hear
@darpanmunjal
and
@PaulENicks
explain this and the "higher quality" of the names that do show up 😅.

Everyone in the world of branding knows King is one of the most common terms that is used and this is clear evidence of marketplace tampering or that my portfolio is being targeted (which seems highly unlikely) though I have boost turned on.
I would love to know who are the owners of http://vistawiki.com, http://vistakart.com, http://vistamy.com, (Vistaa showing high makes sense) http://vistavault.com, http://vistabloom.com, http://vistiva.com, wouldn't you? The one senario where this could be a logical flaw is if ther marketplace never had many king names so never sold them so they get overlooked. This is a terrible way to search and their search will continue to devolve over time imho, as I can tell you this with certainity that in branding the common usage should have rated King higher than all these 2nd and 3rd tier terms.

Both these marketplace searches are biased and affecting the ones with good names that are getting rarer to be available. Any wonder we keep seeing so many low quality names sell? They are hiding the good apples because they don't care as long as sales are pouring in. Like in the real world the rich get richer, on these marketplaces its the big bags that get rewarded and are silent because the marketplace is on their side - woe to the poor and poor domainers like me.

These marketplaces show clear evidence of being gamed and I implore their heads to take a closer look (giving them the benefit of the doubt) and also
@dynatodd
,
@NamecheapCEO
and other honest people to please bring in marketplaces that are unbiased and dependable - the way Dan was - soon!
Never felt more grateful to Reza for showing what is possible with simple and clean code and execution.
It's also interesting to note how on one side I have gotten a lot of love from the community as I try to build it but how no one big in the community has stood up to speak about these unfair practices. 💔

Would love to hear any suggestions from those who have beaten these odds stacked against them.

There is definitely something very wrong at Afternic, and it could be something as benign as lazy-ass brokers not doing their job, or something more insidious.

One thing is for certain, since moving to Afternic my offers are up (and with a higher min bid) while my sales are way down, and my overall sell-though rate has dropped through the floor. It just doesn't make sense and it doesn't look right.

I have had nothing but problems since the dan/Afternic merger, they stopped payment on a domain asking for the transfer code. Dan transferred the domain out like 2 years ago. It's been 2 weeks since they are asking for the transfer code and i explain to them they already have the domain. Most likely just gonna run my own setup as the landing pages seem to convert like ass as well!

this industry is constantly changing and keeping tabs on what's not working anymore and what new strategies or market places are is a constant battle. I have had huge success with some market places for a couple years and then completely drops off (like Anita said) just find new ways and new places... or maybe diversify with more place IDK - i'm constantly re learning myself :geek:
