With the New Year fast approaching we are looking for help on DN.ca

We are looking for members who want to become designated Authors.

Authors will write approx one article a day about anything domain related. They can author an original article or repost one and add commentary.

Authors will be given a special designation (AUTHOR) badge and they will have the ability to edit their topics and posts as needed. Authors will get a set of privileges and will be listed as a DN.ca author in our Member Directory.

It's time to step up Ladies & Gentlemen, we need help if we want the board to grow and it cannot be the same 2-3 people posting most content. We are getting massive readership but far less contributions to content. If we want DN.ca to continue as a vibrant community in the new year we are going to need interested parties to step up and contribute.

Think about it, do you like having a Canadian .ca resource?
If you do, consider stepping up and actually creating content instead of just reading it.

I wanted to add that @silentg is prolific in posting domain sales so I am probably going to designate him first if he wants that designation.

Am also wondering if he wants to become Moderator for the Sold Domains section which would allow him to edit all topics, posts etc in that section.

In other words he could clean it up any way he likes.

Let me know silentg

I will be overhauling the board at years end doing a major upgrade and that is the time to set everything in motion for the new year.

You can post it in any appropriate titled section depending on the topic.

I will start to designate them as authored articles as soon as we get a few.

Sure I can help with moderating sold section.

@silentg You have been activated as a Moderator for Sold Domains which allows him to modify anything inside that forum.

His official title is Sold Domain Guide.

PS. We do not use the term moderator because guide is for friendly communities like ours where we guide our members without ultimatums or draconian rules.

@silentg and I have been communicating via PM and he has graciously offered to moderate the TBR section as well.

I don't know of anyone better suited to be the guide for both TBR Domains & Sold Domains

Thank you so much for stepping up to the plate

I'm looking for more members to get involved with the daily workings of the forum.

@Bob Hawkes is a blog writer for another forum and I am looking for someone to take on a similar role and upon reflection one article per week for the author designation would probably suffice.

Any volunteers?

Posts of the Bob Hawkes caliber take lots of time and research, I think if this you're looking for volunteers that may still be too frequent.

Yes I don't expect posts of that caliber, Bob is an exception to the rule and his Articles are incredibly detailed and researched. I would say just standard articles to stimulate conversation would do. The frequency is not that important, the important part is to engage members in creating content.
