Report the Unreported

Most of you know I converse with a number of domainers behind the lines.
I am often told about sales under the condition I don't report the domain name.

That said I wanted my fellow domainers to know there were some rather large .CA sales this year.

I have personally verified...

5 domains between 10-25k
2 domains 25-55k
3 domains near 75k
1 domain 200k
1 domain 222k

This is a small list of prices on domains I have verified sold and was hoping they would be reported.

Then there are the reported ones

So you see 2024 has gone out with a bang and I am hoping 2025 will be prosperous for all.

Wish I knew what these were...

October sold 1 domain for $2000 USD (2023 2 word handreg through Afternic)
May sold 1 domain for $5500 USD (2019 1 word handreg through Dan)

I didn’t acquire any .CA domains this year. I currently have 16 .CA domains remaining in my portfolio, with a sell-off rate of 11.11% for the year.

Did anyone else do well with casino-related domain names? Both my sales were in this category, and both of them are now affiliate websites.

2024 was a bust for me, 2025 has to be better.

one sale of a mediocre one word .ca for around $2k early in the year, mainly just to book a sale after a dry spell.

turned down a handful of $1.5 to $2.5k offers, buyers not budging higher. few inquiries compared to the average year.

4 offers on .ca’s in the last month, finally a sign of life. one name a LLLL, another a pronounceable LLLL, one with an ‘Art’ keyword, one with a “bitcoin” keyword.

trimming the portfolio here and there but holding onto most names.

a little concerned about the general economy in 2025 and how that will affect the domain market, though usually domain sales seem to chug along.

wondering what other investments will perform in 2025, possibly crypto, gold silver mining related stocks, can tech related stocks keep going higher??

My biggest problem isn't the sales market, it's Afternic and their slow-ass brokerage system.

It's quite amusing when I sit on an offer for even a day, and I get multiple emails from GD advising me that not responding within 24 hours lowers my chances of selling this domain... but even if I reply in seconds, the broker won't forward my price to the buyer for 2-3 business days, and often it's even longer, in the 5-7 day range.

"Strike while the iron's frozen!" is their motto and selling on Afternic is truly the definition of insanity.

How can you run a domain marketplace where neither the buyer nor the seller can accept offers? Everything is done through the broker with an average 2-3 day delay between each and every step.
