When I go to the CIRA TBR Page (or WHOIS) using Chrome the page seems to load, but that little circle on top just keeps on spinning and never fully loads. I have cleared cache, deleted cookies, reset DNS, change security settings, etc. but nothing works. Just started happening this weekend.

These pages also load perfect on FireFox and Edge, which is strange since Edge is based on Chrome.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Your sentiments are echoed here, and @richard.schreier, sorry to hear you're no longer at CIRA and I wish you all the best!

Agreed, he was one of the only ones ever at CIRA that I know of to make any attempt to talk to domainers and respond to our questions in a meaningful way. Thanks for your time at CIRA @richard.schreier , it was very much appreciated.

I believe that one of Richard's responsibilities (or was at least at some point in his CIRA career) was to try and sell new TLDs to new customers, and this was where Richard and I had a difference of opinion about CIRA and their responsibilities. My take is that CIRA should not be engaging in business that is directly competitive to running the .CA registry - the only real mandate the CIRA should have, or really any other business to be honest (but that's a different topic). In any case, CIRA was trying to sell the idea of new TLDs such as .TORONTO to the city of Toronto (or probably anyone else who would buy into it). I argued that was completely competive with .CA and there was NO freaking way CIRA should be involved in that. Obviously Richard had to argue the other side since that was his job. I wonder if CIRA just finally gave up on that particular part of their empire building plan?

Richard was responsible for CIRA coming on board as a sponsor which sure helped pay some of the bills.

He will be missed, I hope he drops back on once in a while to say Hi.

Uh oh, now this "spinning circle" problem has infected Firefox as well.

I have figured out it's not my browser, if I turn off my Adguard adblocker I get the spinning circle of death but as soon as I flick on the adblocker I am able to use cira services.

Strange but true 🤟

I guess I need to install an ad-blocker as I'm trying to surf clean at the CIRA because I assumed that was the best way to test.

I have Adblocker on my iPhone and the CIRA site runs no problem. Weird.

Richard and I have crossed paths many times over the years, not just at CIRA, and I've always enjoyed working with him. I think he was a bigger asset to CIRA than they may have realized. I hope he stays in the industry and we'll get the chance to work together again.

Indeed. I have had several interactions with him from the time he was at Pool.com. Hope some big company realizes his value and places him at the helm for the benefit of many.

Thank the Lord! This just got fixed and now I can use the CIRA site again!!

I don't want to claim credit, but I did my best this week to escalate this to various teams at CIRA. The odd part is that it didn't seem to affect everyone the same. Maybe it was limited to people outside their network.

You have my thanks, as now I can do everything in a single browser, rather than switching back and forth. 🙏
