Saw.com founder Jeffrey Gabriel previously worked for Uniregistry, which was shut down after GoDaddy acquired it. The Saw.com platform includes tools similar to many of those at Uniregistry that people used to self-broker domain inquiries.

Sellers are charged a 9% commission when they self-broker domains and 15% when a Saw.com broker handles the transaction for them.

This is finally going to be the new Dan and at 9% I'm definitely in!! (y)

A few issues....

1. Bank transfer has to be over 5k
2. PayPal is only other alternate
3. Does not accept Canadian Postal Codes to make a payment profile.
4. You cannot give out a link to all your listings
5. Basically only a lander, a store option is not available.

I saw commission was 15%, didn't see where self brokering is at 9%, but I was checking on my phone.

If 9% that is a reason to switch to here from other alternatives "cough, cough"

Involves some of the people who ran Uniregistry Market, which was a good system.

Seems there are some things that still need working out for Canadian users, maybe I'll wait a bit before switching anything. I don't look forward to having to do all the nameserver changes but for a 6% drop in commission rate it would be worth it.

Put in my postal code and still wants “Please enter the billing ZIP code” in payment profile settings

Let us know how it goes. Dan has the higher commission but I find it a very user friendly platform for domain sales, so curious if Saw will be as good a user experience.

So far its even better...

It even has automatic Google search for term with extension, search term without extension, and a keyword match search (in this case funding).

Also the chat bot engages the client asking him when he is interested, if he has any other concerns and that they will forward everything to the domain owner.

Slick Slick Slick

Blows Dan out of the water for me.

Thanks for writing this. It means a lot to us to see people liking what they see so far.

The final link will be the domain as it will get an SSL. Our provider does them in the order they are received. I was informed about another solution earlier today and if it is faster we will switch to it.

That 5k minimum will be removed. Not sure how it snuck in there.
The second point is not true. Stripe will offer more payment options depending on where you are located. We are working on many others.
It will accept our friends from Canada don’t worry.
That is on the roadmap.
The store isn’t ready yet.

We have a lot of great ideas that will hopefully add value, and higher average sale prices for our clients. We wanted to get the basics down. We have some bugs to fix and some other parts that need to be finished and we will make it the best marketplace in our industry.
