So I believe a lot of individuals have new year resolutions in January. Some like minded entrepreneurs get an idea in their head and run with it. With that said, have you ever noticed a spike in offers in January? If I recall, I did receive a few more offers last January then the rest of the months.

On a side note, the .ca had a great start to the year last year with Peter from eMall selling ticket.ca for $100,000.

Will there be another big possibly 6 figure .ca sale this month?

I turned down 100k on two .ca domains in 2020

When you say six figures I am thinking we need to shoot for the first 7 figure .ca sale.
In my case I flatly turned down the offers thinking a .ca can be just as important to Canadians as a .com.

So in my case I am shooting for the elusive 7 figure sale

A select few members who stay in touch with me behind the lines are aware of my negotiations on the above domains and I am following the Rick Schwartz motto which is the Power of No!

So let's be optimistic and shoot for the first million dollar sale in 2021, because if I were a betting man I would say....

Maybe... Just maybe!

Judging by the great .ca names you own, I can probably guess which 2. :)

I believe that a 7 figure .ca could happen soon. I believe with this pandemic and with more and more companies moving online, this in my opinion raises the value of domain names. Especially .ca’s for those who like to remain Canadian and keep it in Canada.

There are a lot of patriotic Canadians that will only buy Canadian so having the .ca will stand out more for people like that.

There may have even been a close to 7 figure sale last year on a 2 letter sold by Adam but he didn’t disclose the price.

I think you are referring to md.ca sold by [notify]AdamDicker[/notify]

Yes, it is unfortunate that the higher sales are not being reported because they set a precedence and I think once the first million dollar sale hits the next ones will soon follow.

Yes, that is correct. If Adam cannot disclose the price, maybe he can mention if it was a 7 figure sale or not. Just out of curiosity. :)

Yes, I agree. The domino effect. I believe the majority of .ca sellers report sales. I think it’s very important to do so as it’s great for the market.

I can only imagine if previous housing prices were never disclosed or didn’t disclose what a house recently sold for in your area. The real estate agents would be going bonkers.

I can confirm I have had a 7 figure sale and I am working on another.

So are we talking Canadian $$$ for this six and seven figure sale discussion? or US?

On that note, what does everyone do for domain pricing?

Usually when I deal with Canadians it's Can $$, if it's a US inquiry then US$. At least that's how I generally do it.

Generally I notice a bump in inquiries after summer or even near the end of summer, and also Jan/Feb.

Nov/Dec were pretty quiet overall for me.
