No offence to WHC for making use of our traffic if we're made aware of it, but just in case you didn't know...
PSA: If you don't change the nameservers after you win a TBR domain at WHC, then all type-in traffic will load a WHC auction page with your old auction listing + a pile of this week's new TBR auction listings. Not a fan of this tactic so now I change the nameservers immediately after winning anything at WHC, so it doesn't resolve until I'm ready to do something with it.
Again, if you're cool with it, that's great but the reason I'm posting is that it came as a total surprise to me, as I didn't have a clue this was going on, or at least going on forever if you never change them.
Here's an example using an old auction from a few weeks ago, HC.ca:

Yes, but this is something new at WHC, as in the past, TBR wins either didn't resolve or just went to a generic WHC registration page. And it's not just being forwarded to a generic auction page, which is probably safer, and each page now has 6 TBR auction ads, which could be easily misconstrued that the domain owner is onboard and making money off it.
That's what surprised me, as I had no idea things had changed, and all registered domains now feature TBR auction ads.
Like when GoDaddy started putting ads on domains freshly won at their expired auction, I (and many others) were not fans of this type of strategy, especially as several GD domains were hit with UDRPs because of it.
No different from what GoDaddy does with almost any service they offer.

There was a pretty big thread on NP with people who were not happy, and it's the same thing here - if you don't want your recent domain purchase used as an ad page, then change the nameservers immediately.
Conversely. if you don't care a whit, then have a nice day.
The "auction pages" went live some time in February 2024. The pages are being displayed pre-, during and after the drop (during auctions) and until you change the nameservers or the forwarding. That's also when we introduced the bidding history (which is still waiting on a little fix).

In terms of the overall list, it seems that WHC won most of the top domains I was looking at. At a certain point on each TBR, WHC becomes a real steamroller and takes no prisoners.
And sure, it wasn't a very good week in terms of TBR domains, but credit where credit is due.
