    TBR Drop - Mar 18, 2026

Yeah, I kinda wanted it too. I just don't have the expertise in using backlink domains to have the faith needed to drop $10K+ on it. I think for someone that knows their stuff, its a rare combination of a good domain + excellent backlinks.

    TBR Drop - Mar 25, 2026

Yeah, 20 years ago snowflake would have sounded great. Today, all I can think of is the negative connotation...

    And that's why I don't place pre-orders there....

    TBR Drop - Mar 25, 2026

Not saying they do, but, just saying we miss the old days of not allowing domains to go to public auction so that the pre-TBR bidders who put in the effort wouldn't have to compete against the people wanting to slide into post-TBR auctions. And yeah, baremetal and grape's systems are definitely...

    TBR Drop - Mar 25, 2026

Well the issue he's complaining about is that he/we used to be able to put in countless hours of effort each week to identify the small percentage of actually valuable domain names in the list, we would then place pre-TBR bids, and then IF that registrar caught the domain, we would get it at...

It's probably easier, just more expensive.

    TBR Drop - Mar 25, 2026

Lol, yes, we do too. But there is another reality in domain economics too. Critical mass. When you're asking 5 and 6 figures, your sell through rate is VERY low and negotiations can easily last 6 months for one sale. If you only sell 1% per year, and you have 100 domains, you will only get 1...

    TBR Drop - Mar 25, 2026

He's just saying that the price can vary wildly depending on both the circumstance and that particular moment in time for both the buyer and seller. The more rare/unique/popular/valuable the domain, the more that statement is true. And LL's are considered among the most potentially valuable...

Could AI manage large domain portfolios better than humans?

That's the nice thing about paying for a workspace account, I've gotten support from real people, not just chatbots. I can see how a free gmail account using AI might get suspended - there's enough abuse with gmail accounts as it is.

    Sales per province

For me the exercise was just to compare provinces, so I was referring to just .CA domain sales and based only on the buyer's billing province, i.e. sales to non-canadians were not included. Just trying to keep the content .CA relevant to the .CA forum.

    Sales per province

I was doing some invoicing today for a new payment plan sale. For some reason the thought came into my head about sales per province and comparing that to the % of population in Canada. So just for fun... Percentages below are from the past 5 years, and include only revenues received, not any...

    AUCTION Journeyman.ca and organicmakeup.ca

Yeah, its one of those things where if you go into it not knowing any better, you can get burned the first time. But once you've been burned, now you know, and its really not a big deal going forward. It always ends one of two ways: 1. One bidder has a proxy bid higher than the next highest...

No value in a short .ca?

They can easily go 5 figures, but it really depends on the letters. If they're crappy, I probably wouldn't have invested in it anyways, but for good ones with multiple potential buyers (not a completely unique usage situation), then definitely 5 figures. But as it is with all decent domains...

No value in a short .ca?

Actually, to be fair, I do have at least a handful of 5 figure .CA sales to realtor & real-state related projects, including brokering one deal. I can only think of one domain I've sold to an accountant and it was only 4 figs. I guess the most accurate statement would be, 99.9% of realtors are...
