Are domain names now censored in Canada? (1 Viewing)

That's messed up. I am able to access it using a basic VPN service though. But the principle of Trudeau thinking he can restrict what websites I can look is really messed up.

There's no evidence that Canadian government has blocked that site. Original poster (on Twitter) doesn't understand how tech works. GoDaddy is blocked for me unless I disable my VPN. sigh Sounds like geo-blocking by the operators of the Guns site, nothing to do with Canadian politics.

Interesting, I didn't care enough to research it.

Why would GoDaddy be blocking you, they are Canada's biggest registrar, by far? They certainly would not be geo blocking anyone. That's very weird.

I suspect GoDaddy doesn't like the IP address my VPN uses. To use GoDaddy site, I have to turn off VPN and use a private browser window. I don't take it personally, I have to do the same to use Expedia and Hotels.com!
