Was it inbound, outbound, or marketplace woudy?

Edit: I talked with Bill, he sold it privately and the rest is confidential for now.

That's a spicy meatball, and a very nice sale for a 1-word plural.

I wonder how much Banner.ca would sell for, as it's also a last-name.

Congrats. It would be nice to see the sale reported to dnjournal or namebio, but if it were sold with the active website (if it had any significant value) then they may not accept it as a domain sale (especially at namebio).

Good catch RLM, as I didn't even check to see if it was an existing site.

In these cases, its good to separate a price for the domain and website in the sale agreement, just to clarify the price of the domain alone.

It was purchased as a domain only. Website never had product added.

Any chance you've tried to report the sale? It's certainly one worth reporting. I prefer to report through Ron Jackson at DNJournal. You can use the "Email Us" link on the top right of the website.

That's awesome, and even better! Congrats!

Like [notify]rlm[/notify] already mentionned, would you be willing to report the sale to Ron Jackson at DNJournal.com?

A few us are in fact reporting some of our sales before the next report comes out on August 4th, and it would be amazing if you could add your sale to the list since it would be the highest sale of the year so far, by far.

Below is a simple template you can use if you're interested but not sure how to go about it (see email address below).

Hi Ron,

My name is [insert name] and I would like to report a .CA domain sale I made recently.

Below are the details about the sale:

1. DOMAIN: Banners.ca
2. DATE: July 17th, 2021
3. PRICE: 18,000 USD
4. VENUE: Private Sale

I'm attaching a [screenshot/invoice/document/or whatever you choose] as proof of the sale.

Thanks,

[insert name]

Ron's email is editor@dnjournal.com.

PS: I highly encourage everyone with decent sales (~2K+) to make the small effort and have them reported for once, even if it's just a single sale, and even if it isn't very recent. Ron's reports are based on what people report to him during a certain time-frame, and not necessarily just sales that occurred during a certain time-frame, so no worries if the sale happened last month or earlier. Those details will come out when the info makes it way to namebio.

There are four (4) of us who already reported sales to Ron for his next report on Aug 4th, and we can expect to see at least 10 sales already (!!!), and quite easily a lot more if people here were to join. I believe the sales reported so far range between 2,000 USD up to 9,500 USD, and hopefully up to 18,000 USD if [notify]woudy[/notify] reports his sale (please :) ).

This won't necessarily be a regular thing unless we want it to be, but I think it will be nice to finally see some good sales on the charts for once. Sales never really get reported unless they happen at Sedo, so we can only expect to see fewer sales now that so many people are leaving Sedo and going to places like Dan, GD, Epik, Efty etc etc.

It should create a little buzz and will help show how lots of .CA sales are happening even if we don't see them.

[notify]MapleDots[/notify] must have a few to report too (wink wink).

[notify]MapleDots[/notify] - Maybe [notify]Esdiel[/notify]'s post could be edited down as a sticky post for the sales section - just since it's useful info to have around. What do you think?

I think it is a great idea but I would like to give him credit for the post so if [notify]Esdiel[/notify] can make another post in the sold forum I will sticky it to the top.

Happy to do so! I guess I will just copy and paste my post? Not sure what the title should be either but feel free to edit anything as you wish.
