Blocked domains release schedule (2.Viewing)

Domainers will probably overpay in their excitement and live to regret it.

Probably?

There are definitely some domains that I like, but I won't even attempt to buy them as the price will be so out-of-whack it'll make my head spin.

Investing in .CA is not a Get Rich Quick scheme and playing the "just pay more than everyone else for premiums" game is a quick way to the poorhouse. .CA sales are always tight and random (as opposed to .COM and potentially .XYZ/.CO/IO which are both more lucrative and easier to predict) so how much you spend on the TBR is incredibly important if you actually want to turn a profit.

And I know lots of whales don't give a crap how much they spend, but for me personally, I've got enough expensive hobbies and don't need another one. :p

I would highly suggest you boycott TBR registrars in the new year. We can’t let them profit off of us. :)

With the recent economic news I think everyone is tightening a bit.

I know for me when I looked at auction pricing at the new TBR site I thought there were some crazy bids.
Still not sure why and how someone would bid that high on some of those domains.

I agree with @theinvestor @DomainRecap and @MapleDots on their comments above. It makes a lot of sense but who will follow them? It is the same domainer who is bidding so high up at the different auctions or should we be thinking the conspiracy way?

I haven't checked the entire list, but some may see a name or more in there that they've wanted for a long time, and now have a chance at. even if they have to pay up for it. should at least keep the TBR's interesting and see less of the 'nothing really good this week' comments.

After almost going blind looking through this week's TBR list, I am really looking forward to next year, where we will get at least a solid infusion of semi-premium names into these junkpiles.

Some new news... the list is now available for download on our website on the TBR page at the following link:

https://static.cira.ca/2022-12/Bloc...df?VersionId=GGThj0r8szS1fZIytFwTfk0F_ile7msh

In addition, if you want an electronic version of the list for any specific day, I remind everyone the following API call will give you the current list for March 8, 2023:

https://api.ca.fury.ca/api/tbr/session?datetime=2023/03/08

We will be adding a few stragglers to the list for the last session (March 22) in early January.

So the domains have finally shown up in the official drop list. All the best to everyone.

Happy New Year!!

CIRA can add them any day they want I think.. it's just that the release date is the correct one.
I can believe even this would be fixed before the last batch is released. Growing pains?? Just kidding.

@MapleDots This is the first time CIRA has notified it's customers in advance. Every other time, it has been the usual TBR list that we have all come to be mesmerized about. So as CIRA begins something new, I thought there could be something that would require some attention. Now don't believe in conspiracy theories of me knowing something that you don't.

I was not thinking about CIRA, it's a long story, I'll mention it when the time is right.
