BODIS Domain Parking Scam (1.Viewing)

Has anyone been receiving advertisements on Instagram and Facebook promoting landscaping, painting, or roof cleaning jobs? These advertisements typically feature stock videos with a voiceover instructing the viewer to click on the website and 'select' a job to apply for. Here's where things get interesting – there are no job listings on the website; only advertisements served by BODIS. These ads are displayed as 'Toronto House Painters' and 'Gutter Cleaners Toronto,' leading unsuspecting individuals to click on the advertisements.

Here are a few of the (many) domains being used:

• bestroofingcompaniesnearme(.today)
• painter-painting-companies(.today)
• hiringpaintersnearu(.pro)

That's not exactly a scam, but it is misleading. It is ad arbitrage. This was a big thing for a while when Yahoo was still big.
