Uniregistry and GoDaddy are working together to improve your experience. Your Uniregistry account will be moving to GoDaddy in 30 days, at which point we’ll send you an email guiding you through the sign in process. https://uniregistry.com/blog/post/better-together

When we move your Uniregistry account, we’ll move almost everything to your new GoDaddy account — your domains, account info, payment data, and account balance if applicable.

A few notes about your Uniregistry.com account balance:

If you’d like your current Uniregistry.com account balance to be paid to the original payment method before your account migration, please set up a payout profile by following the steps at: https://www.uniregistry.help/hc/en-us/articles/1260802451190-Create-a-payout-profile-with-Tipalti-

Any existing account balance at your Uniregistry.com account will be moved to GoDaddy on the migration day, to GoDaddy In-Store Credit (ISC)*.

How to use GoDaddy.com In-Store Credit:
GoDaddy In-Store Credit funds can be used on their own or can be combined with an external payment option to complete a sale at GoDaddy.
GoDaddy In-Store Credit can be withdrawn only via mail USD check (this may take up to 6-8 weeks)

There are some things you’ll need to manually download from Uniregistry before your account is moved (if you want them), such as documents attached to your domain account via Documents.Link or domain account via Domain Tracker.
If you’re wondering how much more you’ll be paying:

Zero more. You’ll keep yourcurrent pricing and we’re going to bring some noticeable improvements your way**. GoDaddy is the world’s largest domain registrar, so we’ve got a reliable, scalable, and globallyavailable DNS system. You’ll also receive GoDaddy’s Basic Privacy Protection.

The writing was on the wall for that one but it is truly unfortunate because the best of Uniregistry (software) has NOT been incorporated into GoDaddy and I can see a bit of a fallout coming with this one.

I liked Uniregistry because of their pricing and how they have the site designed. No need to jump through hoops to get good pricing when it's time for renewals or transferring domains.

We all knew this day would come, but it still hurts. I just transferred my last remaining domain out of Uni a few minutes ago, a .homes domain (!) which I now have over at Hexonet, where I keep my small collection of 'exotic' ccTLDs and nTLDs.

I had a few at uni but moved them to godaddy myself, just so I don't hit any snags.

I keep almost 600 at GoDaddy and my private domains are all at GoogleDomains.

By private what I mean is I have quite a few domains that I do not advertise, they all sit at GoogleDomains because I can easily manipulate email addresses and attach them to my business websites.

GoDaddy is great now that the bulk tools are mostly working so I appreciate them for that and once you get to a certain amount of domains they will throw in Discount Club if cancel it. Was funny, I cancelled discount club thinking I could still save a buck per domain if I moved to canspace. No sooner did I cancel then my rep called me and said he would throw it in for free for 3 years if I stayed.

So I cannot really complain about GoDaddy because I also use their auctions and no verifying is necessary if the domain sits at GoDaddy. That is a pretty big time saver onto itself.

I like Uniregistry for their stats and marketplace, and no bs interface. this is unfortunate though I have domains at both.
