Here is how we determine what can become a Premium .CA Listing
- Two Character
- Three Characters
- Four Characters (preferably pronounceable)
- Five Characters (pronounceable)
- One Word*
- One Word Plurals (when they make sense)
- Two Words**
The above are used as a base but poor combinations with excess letters like Q X Y Z are not considered premium.
*One words are usually dictionary terms but of they are too obscure and not able to be used in commerce they may be rejected.
**Two words is the toughest category and we base it on a simple formula, the two words have to be a commonly used term.
Example...
HouseBoat.ca = Yes, because its a commonly used term.
HouseCar.ca = No, because the combination is not commonly used.
There are exceptions to every rule but this is what we use as a general guide.
So if you have two words that are not commonly used chances are you cannot list it as premium.
