Yes, nothing makes a domain hotter than when it drops. Personally I think its because domainers buying on the drop don't have to put up with the drama and bs of other domainers.

No, it's a well-known phenomenon whereby an item "for sale" with no buyers looks old, tired and failed, while something like an expired domain seems fresh, new and full of opportunity.

A lot of it is willful ignorance (like eating hot dogs) as we all know where most expired domains come from.

Every single .CA I've dropped in the past two years has been caught. $200-300 isn't going to break me, but I'd sure as hell like to be the one pocketing it!
