Looking at the webstats chatgpt crawls, and references dn.ca countless times per month.
With the amount of information that site is scraping from dn.ca you would think they would have to pay a royalty of sorts, there are expenses to consider when it comes to running the forum and for chatgpt to take all this information for free (without contributing) seems almost criminal.
I'm torn between blocking the bots or possibly pursuing or joining some sort of legal action toward the company.
Quite honestly its sad to see our work being used with no real credit back to the site and no contribution to expenses. They seem to think they have a right to scrape data as they see fit.
