The total number of registered .com domains fell again during the past quarter.​

The number of registered .com domain names fell last quarter, the second consecutive quarter-over-quarter fall.

As of September 30, the last day of Q3, there were approximately 160.9 million registered .com domain names, according to data provided on Verisign’s (NASDAQ: VRSN) website. That’s down from 161.1 million, as reported in the company’s Q2 financial results.
