Four more dot-brands switch back-ends to Godaddy (1.Viewing)

I used to be surprised why GoDaddy took so much of hate until I bought a domain from them through auctions.

Their sleezy sales person told me I would get it in my account in 7 days but it took over 40. Had more than three - two hour long calls with their support. The seller was Afternic (a godaddy brand) so GD said they can't help with it and when I called Afternic, they said they can't help because it's bought through GD.

I finally got the name after emailing their CEO. Can't believe I had to go through it all after paying over $5K.

PS: The average response time from their sales person before I gave them my money was 6 hours. He never responded to my any of my emails after I had made the purchase.

Once one for me is they locked access to my domains when I was in the Caribbean on holidays.
I did not have access to SMS but used my password, account pin and Google authenticor.

I gave all that to the GoDaddy support guy and he locked my account with almost 1000 domains in it.
We spoke on the phone and I asked him how anybody else would have my password, pin, and authenticator code.

Him: Prove it by responding to the text
Me: Are you an hard of hearing, I just told you I'm on holiday and I only have wifi.

Took me a year to move the domains out to WHC, now if I have an issue I can call them and they know who I am.

I guarantee you if I have a similar issue once email to @FM and I would have account access.
