I think it’s interesting, full disclosure I do not own any shares in MJ.com. I may in the future decide to purchase some. If I do I will update this post with that info.

Do you think something like this would work on a smaller scale for .ca?

Would you partner with one person or more on ownership on a premium .ca?
 
Would depend on securities laws in Canada, which I don't think are as permissive as in the US.

Also, not sure many .ca domains have a value as high as a two-letter .com so fewer available domains to sell on a fractionalized basis.
