Freeland or Mark Carney for Liberal leader? (1.Viewing)

Personally I don't like either. And it's like fighting over who gets to take over being captain of the Titanic before it hits the iceberg.

Likewise, but if I have choose between the two I will go with the later, but I admire the stance of the former.

I think part of it is that after the in-pocket Governor General protected the Liberals from a non-confidence vote,. one of these two gets to be defacto Prime Minister without a vote (like Kim Campbell) but on the bad side, will then be annihilated by voters (again, like Kim Campbell) in the upcoming election.

But every time the winner of the Liberal leadership race gets introduced at a lucrative speaking engagement, "Former Prime Minister..." will always precede their name.

It’s just the same but from a different pile. Whomever gets it, it will be short lived anyway! Maybe the new leader of the Liberals can destroy Canada even more!

And I love how the Liberals leadership candidates are trying to look like PCs by "eliminating the carbon tax", "solving the mass migration problem", "halt gov't throwing money around like drunken sailors", etc., etc.

Hopefully even the morons don't believe them, as the Liberals created all of these problems. And sure they'll kill the Carbon Tax and then immediately replace it with something called the Climate Initiative Payback plan, which will be even worse.

Remember, it's the Liberal Party (not just Trudeau) who got us in this horrible situation by flooding the country with people, spending like drunken sailors, and jacking taxes to the maximum, so they can hardly be trusted to try and solve the myriad problems they themselves created.

It's like hiring another fox to lead henhouse security after the last one ate all the chickens. Never forget!
