Lately I’ve been really enjoying what I think we can call “Domaining Twitter” – with people spending more time inside it feels like we’re really hitting a good stride. I’ve never seen so many people sharing what they’re doing to forge their path in the domain name world.

One person who has caught my eye and continues to is Alex Verdea who focuses on flipping hand registered domain names. This morning Alex announced a pretty awesome sale:

I was reading this yesterday! Get ready for a whole new flood of people thinking their hand regs will be worth five figures.

To be honest, I don't see the five figure value in that name. It's a fine hand reg, but these kinds of sales are few and far between.
 
Anything with the word Merch in it is being snapped up by the tiktok and youtube crowd selling merchandise.

These kids make millions on the channels, it shocks me how much money they get paid for stupid videos showing weird stuff.


This guy is not a kid but a dead man walking, shows the stupid stuff posted.

My Daughter has me into watching “Eric The Electric”. His latest video is “Eating everything on the McDonald’s Menu”...

I asked her what does he do for a living. Her response? “He’s a Youtuber”.

Who needs a college or University diploma anymore when you can just do this? :)

Some of these Youtubers are indeed making millions a year.
 
I'm having heart palps just thinking about what that guy just put into his body. All the Mountain Dew?? My lord.

Anyway, you guys are right. There's a market there. I just didn't realize these YouTubers were opening separate official merch shops. I guess I assumed they sold stuff through a third party, or had their own site that included a shop.

Of course none of this stopped me from going out and regging a Merch name that had some promising search results. :)

Sure, but just like any other entertainment segment, the vast, vast, vast majority are "starving artists".

It's like actors - go to Hollywood and kick some cardboard boxes and watch the "actors" run out, but all the headlines go to the salaries of Tom Cruise, Ryan Reynolds, and The Rock.
