ICANN has published the latest official data from Verisign (NASDAQ: VRSN) about the .com namespace. This registrar-by-registrar report covers July 2022.

New this month, I’ve added MarkMonitor’s numbers in Newfold Digital’s total. The company just completed the acquisition of the registrar. While it didn’t own it in July, I’ll include it going forward. This adds about 650,000 .com domains to Newfold.

GoDaddy Corporate Domains (which competes with MarkMonitor) crossed 100,000 .coms under management in July.

There are a couple of new entrants to the monthly Top 10, likely due to bulk registration deals. On the overall leaderboard, Google Domains jumped ahead of Alibaba.

Technically Tucows is the runner up in both categories because Google uses Tucows for their domains, so if you add Google and tucows together they take runner up in both categories behind godaddy.
