Afternic virtually twists your arm to price your domains but I've always said the value of a domain name is highly based on the end user and the cash flow of the company.
Domain1.ca might go for 10k to a ma & pa shop but would be priced at numerous times that if a company with a large net value inquires.
good point, usually in negotiating - the first person to quote the dollar amount has the advantage, because then everything revolves around that first price (either up or down)
