OMG.... finally, I've been preaching this forever!

Afternic virtually twists your arm to price your domains but I've always said the value of a domain name is highly based on the end user and the cash flow of the company.

Domain1.ca might go for 10k to a ma & pa shop but would be priced at numerous times that if a company with a large net value inquires.

Traditionally I will not sell a domain until inquiry.mapledots.ca is filled out

good point, usually in negotiating - the first person to quote the dollar amount has the advantage, because then everything revolves around that first price (either up or down)

I am not sure it applies to the majority of domain investors that need capital to pay for bills and expenses.

The average investor is not sitting on amazing quality domains. If you are, and don't really need the capital, it gives you a lot more flexibility to dictate the terms with your domains.

The majority of my domains are not priced, but the ones that are do provide steady cash flow.
