I recently had a "poor student" inquire on a name that she supposedly needed for her science project on her dog - the domain was apparently her dog's name and she thought it would look good.
Rather than delete the email, I replied through a burner email that "That sounds feasible and just let me know the dates you need (30-day max) and the nameservers you want and I'll let you host your project on my domain."
Strangely I never got a response back.

I love how you replied to the faux student, but why the need for a burner email address?

Because I had no idea who I was dealing with and they used a disposable gmail address as well. No sense getting a real email added to 100,000 signups and subscriptions,
