I spent $30,000 on purchasing a web domain that was listed for $75,000 (1 Viewing)

Spicy POV here: There's also a lesson here (for sellers) on the power of anchoring, in this case with the apparent list price of $75k for this domain. The buyer is patting himself on the back for getting himself a 'deal' on this domain, but $30k for Tycho dot com is not necessarily a great deal (for the buyer) for what is essentially an invented-word domain, which as everyone knows you can find on sites like BrandBucket and SquadHelp for $3-10k. I am glad the buyer is happy, and presumably the seller is happy (seller should be over the moon for how much he got for the domain), but the buyer comes across as naive to me for publicly boasting about the great 'deal' he got on Tycho dot com. The seller should be the one taking the victory lap here!
