Interesting CBC story about TBR domain (1.Viewing)

Haha, thanks, interesting read. At least they didn't overreact and call the domain owner out as a cybersquatter or something like that. Pretty fairly reported.

What a non-story story. A government funded company shuts down, their website expires and is purchased by someone else who creates a site with no illegal content, and that is news?

It's all conjecture and supposition on "what might happen in the future" and clearly the government has no comment because they don't give a crap about a defunct operation or they'd have kept up with renewals.

It's dead Jim! Move along, move along.

This story read like a bunch of kids talking about a potential bogeyman no one knows anything about, who just bought a big house and moved into the neighborhood.

"Yeah Jimmy, I bet he's going to come out at night and drink our blood!" Ooooooh, scary.

Yeah, its as if the reporter was hoping there was a more scandalous story there, but the experts they tapped into didn't really take it there.

I agree. It was during those times when the Whois information was public that people yelled the cybersquatter name at you on every forum/platform available at that time and even the legal experts were quoting those references. It was discrimination of the highest degree which went unnoticed, unreported and unaccepted.
