Looked at my web stats... (1 Viewing)

Yeah, real smart - they just added an extra 8 letters to their domain instead of paying $15K for the .COM.

Clearly we're dealing with mental giants here.

PS I'd also love to see the bill for their office building...

A few years back I purchased TeamLTD.ca after it dropped and instantly had 50+ daily visitors. Come to find out TeamLTD.com is a big Canadian clothing company.

Yep, they ended up buying the .ca

The .com was 10k and the .ca was 5k, I raised it after the web stats shot up.

Yes, I remember what I paid for my raised letter sign, they could have paid for the domain for the extra letters for their signs.

Looks like they outsmarted you :D

Well you know what they say...

If you cant afford a 1 word domain, then buy a 2 word domain.

If you can't afford a 2 word domain, then buy a 3 word domain.

If you can't afford that just buy one in the .horse extension, it should be cheap enough :D

I have a situation right now where a one-word domain had an inquiry, and I quoted $15K. He said I had to significantly lower my asking price and that "this is a one time offer, after we decide on our new brand, we're done and not coming back". Said no.

Two weeks later he posts on linkedin about their new brand name with a shitload of hashtags like #brand #brandidentity etc, etc, and then people proceed to comment saying how much they love the new name.

Price just went up. Thank you.
