Is MyID still alive?

Their TBR system is still down (sent a request to Support) and I paid/reported some renewals that haven't been completed. I know they're slow, but I usually get a support reply from someone.

This is starting to creep me out.

I predicted their death quite a while back and I'm sticking to my prediction.

Too many players in the TBR market and they are used to big money, this little pittance will no longer pay for all the connections.

It's been a while coming as they've torn down services piece by piece and simply deleted parts of the website. No updates, no innovation, no changes just deletion of features and services.

You will see them fade out until one day the website will just go blank.

Tick Tock, tick tock...

I really have no idea what's going on here, and worst of all, this delay could actually cost me a sale.

One of the domains I'm trying to renew on their archaic manual system is the subject of an active negotiation, but the domain now expires in 5 days - so I need to renew it since this marketplace requires at least 30 days left on registration to process the transfer.

The problem is, that everything at MyID is manual, so you need to request a renewal, send a deposit via eTransfer, then report the payment, wait for it to be applied to your account, then wait... wait... wait... 🤬

It used to work within a reasonable period of time, but apparently not anymore.

So if it keeps dragging on, I'll have no choice but to transfer the domain somewhere else, which incurs a 60-day wait period and will probably royally screw everything up. Better than losing the domains though.

I really should have taken RLM's advice.

Still no word from MyID and their TBR section remains shut down.

And in a serious twist, enabling their TBR system just minutes before the cutoff, MyID still managed to win RDB.ca. 🤬

sorry to revive a dead topic, but I personally hope they're gone. had numerous horrible experiences with them back in the day

had to escalate to CIRA more than once
