Somehow I doubt anything will happen with the domain, but that's because 911.ca isn't being used that way and is for sale at Dan. I could be wrong tho. These are meant to be emergency phone numbers and not emergency websites, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to have both since it's possible someone might only have access to internet and not a phone.

Here's some fun facts about 911:

In March 1973, the White House telecommunications department tabled a national policy encouraging the use of 911 everywhere in the United States. Canada adopted 911 in 1972, and the first city to implement the system was London, Ontario, in 1974.

Looks like 911.ca is owned by the McKay Brothers.

They were discussed here at:

SOLD.ca - used by a realtor

I’m guessing they don’t sell cheap so would love to know what kind of price they want for 911.ca.

988 as a website makes a LOT more sense than 911, as then people could chat, receive messages, etc. on their phone or laptop, which is preferable for most people than to use than an audio phone.

A website is a lot more interactive and would better serve the majority of these situations, which usually originate from younger people.
