Negotiating on a domain with a reasonable asking price (2.Viewing)

I keep my BIN on some of my .ca’s quite a bit higher than my real asking price. Is it a great idea? Maybe, maybe not always. I have sold names in the past where we “negotiated” down in price but in the end, it was my real BIN.

I've gotten ticked off with people like this before, where I l offer a very fair price to make a quick sale, and they go nickel and diming. When I let them know the deal, most accept the offer or depart graciously, but a few "special people" continue their chintzy ways in earnest.

I had a recent month-long negotiation like that where I was so irritated with their continually petty behavior, that I responded in kind. I deleted the name from all marketplaces, nulled the nameservers so they don't resolve, and plan to keep it this way for a year or two, mostly so I never encounter this blood-pressure-raising nitwit ever again.

If he wants it, he's going to have to hire a broker and pay a higher price. Either way, I feel great. :giggle:

What if there is another potential buyer, they won't be able to find the domain as easy now.

No worries as the domain cost me $20 and I doubt anyone is going to offer me life-changing money for it. Right now it's low-end used car money, and I'll give that up in a second just to get rid of this idiot.

I'll give you $40 for the domain right now and I don't even know the domain name! You can double your money AND sleep easy.

I'm a man of my word and when I say it I do it. And you know I'll keep it offline for a year or more, as I have with other domains.

And sleep like a baby. :giggle:

Oh I believe you - was just trying to be funny.

Yeah, I know that. I'm just in a surly mood with slowass Afternic + buyer nitwits that I am really mulling over setting all my domains to Delist (not deleting them) or changing NS for the month of February just so I can concentrate on other things that need to get done.
