I have been hard at work improving the search function for DN.ca

The default is now advanced search and you can search for as little as 3 characters.
So there must be 3 characters before the .ca as well.

If you get a direct hit it will take you directly to the post.

Lots of search improvements have been made, I worked a few days to fine tune this so I hope you enjoy it.

And the word highlight is done, see the pic above where I searched for the word "search"


It will list all the posts with the search word highlighted and you can search down to 3 letters.
It turns the search word in the title to pink and in the body of the post to yellow.




That was a bit of work but well worth it.
