Hehe, that one is kind of amusing

Is this just a bad example text (for testing?), or does this sound like All.ca will be allowing ineligible people to register .CA's

“I accidentally discovered this site for registering Canadian domains. It turns out that anyone can register such domains! I have long wanted to expand my business in Canada, and now I have such a success."

Hi there,
Only eligible entities/individuals will be able to register .CA domains (all per registry rules and requirements).
Regards,

Agree....keep it in CDN$ and you will need to work on the pricing... $15 USD is about $20 CDN.
But nice to have another player. Now let’s see if you can compete with Siber and MyID in the TBR ;)

I wondered that as well Frank.....hopefully support/IT people who really do understand how .ca registrant/registrar etc. work.
I still get change notifications from GD for names I sold 5+ years ago because when they did a change of registrant they still left me on a registrant category.

The support number is the main Epik support number and leads straight to Epik
I wonder what training the staff has for .ca?

A dedicated Canadian number will be there on the website. We're fixing that! :)
And, yes, that support team will surely be experts in dealing with .CA and registry requirements.

There has been absolutely no movement or innovation at all.ca

Seems stale to me and still priced in USD

Was thinking of trying them out for a few domains but at $15.03 USD for a .ca they are definitely out of reach.

The accreditation took way longer than expected in all honesty.

We're currently finalizing the tech work (EPP testing and production sever), as we've finished the admin work recently.

That and other updates (like the CAD checkout, etc..) are coming up very soon to the website.

Thanks for your patience!!

Me2.. annoying at times when the subject line reads " You about to lose your domain" or "Your domain expires soon"..LOL

Pricing in Cad is a must if they are to compete with the other homegrown Registrars. That was one reason I told Rob that I cannot deal with my .CA portfolio with Epik.

It might be hard to break into the Canadian Domainer space unless they are willing and able to offer some serious perks. I have suggestions if anyone from the management, likes to hear. :)

It looks to me like all.ca is all but abandoned at this point.

$15 USD for a domain and no update or change to the site in months.

I was hoping we would have something viable here but alas that seems like just a dream.

well it doesn't look abandoned, but definitely dragging their feet on the CAD promise... honestly, I'm very happy with my registrar anyways, so no loss.

Hi there,

I know it’a taking longer than expected, but a lot of work has been done at the backend during the past few months.

Soon, CAD will be the standard currency on the website.

Once that’s done, we’ll propose a nice promotion for the launching period & I’m sure you’ll be happy with our .CA pricing and other related services.

I’ll keep you all posted!

Thanks for your patience!

Yeah, I still get this error when I log in with their unified login.
I ignore the error, go back to all.ca and am logged in anyways.

Since it is the same control panel as canspace and whc, I am wondering if anyone registered a domain there yet and if it has the basics like URL forwarding or masked forwarding.

WHC - does not have it

canspace - has forwarding but its a bit convoluted (last time I checked quite a while ago)

I agree. To remain Canadian, keep it Canadian. The prices of $15.03 US is also not the lowest. I believe that I mentioned elsewhere on DN that I pay $9.90 US for .ca’s at Epik which is competitive.
I think Canspace just upped their prices from $9.99 to $10.99 CAD and WHC is $9.99 It's hard to be competitive when your new and prices are as high as godaddy's.

Does all.ca have any affiliation to Epik?

None of the above's prices are the actual price, it's for the first year, or as a discounted price with other services.
But in real on a 5 years span it's $13++ per year for .CA domains. at least. GoDaddy even more much more...
How can anyone beat COST PRICE FOREVER ??? Registrations - Renewals - Transfers

RegisterDomain.ca is the best price possible period !

In the weeks to come the interface and features will be second to none for FREE features.
And the paid features will be pennies on the dollar.

Our Goal is to double / Triple the amount of .CA Registrations, hence growing the industry and raising the demand which converts to Value for the undervalued .CA domains industry as a whole.

I understand that annual renewal increases from the registries could be a burden for large portfolio investors, but in real it's peanuts compared to the value and opportunity. My personal opinion is that Canadian Domain Investors should focus on spreading the word, recruiting new players at all levels into the Canadian domain industry and raise awareness of the incredible value of digital assets in this generation.

For what it's worth That's OUR MISSION here at CatchDrop.ca & RegisterDomain.ca

The rest is all smoke, air & wind.
