Anyone else here get annoyed when some employee of a non-profit says:

We're a non-profit, can you just give us this domain in exchange for a half-eaten bag of corn nuts?

I always _want_ to respond with:

Well I see that you get paid for your efforts as GM of this non-profit. Please explain to me why you deserve to get paid, but I don't?? Call me back when your non-profit is entirely run on a volunteer basis with no budget. Then you'll have a legitimate request...

Yet, I always respond with:

Thank you for your offer, but I will have to respectfully decline.

One of these days I'm going to snap...

I know what you mean, and often these "non-profits" have executives making millions a year, swanky offices, gala events, and other expensive accoutrements, but just *love* acting poor when they want something.

I hear that Rob.
I usually respectfully decline as well and find the name they are looking for in .xyz or something and tell them that it is available for a much more affordable $20 registration fee.

I had a “non-profit” contact me earlier this year. I told them that I will be fair and sell it to them what I bought it for which I thought was fair after I added a very nice percentage to the final price for my “handling” fee. :)

Looking to finalize the sale this month.

Lol. If I tried that, this is how it would go:

Me: I'll tell you what, I'll sell it to you for what I paid it for, plus a small handling fee.

Them: Awesome! Thank you! Wait, what? You call a 10,000% handling fee small???

But congrats on finding a way to make a sale out of that!

Yeah, I often offer up some $20 alternatives too. Its just hard not to be condescending. Like, "You should register thiscrappy.xyz, that'll ensure you never have to worry about making a profit!!"
