Who thinks this cannot go on as legal?

So they bill you and if you don't say anything you pay, somehow that strikes me as not right.
Imagine this on your next grocery or hydro bill, if we let it happen in restaurants it will propagate everywhere.

Don't think it will? Were you asked for a tip at a machine without a human yet?

That really opens the floodgates for putting anything you didn't order on your bill.

That should be an opt-in, not an opt-out.
