I have recently lost a set of blinders and it kind of changed the way I look at some domains.

Also consider plans as in funeral plans. financial plans etc.

This excellent domain has lots of uses even outside of the obvious cell phone category. *DANCE*

Also great for the Architect/Building Industry. Plans/drawings for developments cost thousands each.

Yeah, that's what I think of first.

Hope you don't mind comment [notify]Nafti[/notify] but yeah, I like this as a build/design play.

Answer some questions and get a few floorplans generated, either by a human or AI

I don't have the budget, but if I did I'd jump on this one

(A suggestion for [notify]MapleDots[/notify], maybe a subforum for joint ventures? Like people could could advertise a domain, cash or a skill and match up with a partner. Obviously have a disclaimer that DN.ca isn't liable for anything or something like that)

I tried subforums already, they are too confusing to new members or members that do not know how a forum works.

I prefer to have everything topside without having to click in for forums. There are other boards where I am always hunting for a forum. Constant warnings that this is in the wrong forum and that is in the wrong forum. I once replied back and said you have too many damn forums buried 3 layers deep.

My main focus for dn was simplicity first.

Thanks [notify]MapleDots[/notify], certainly didn't want to add anything to your plate. And I think I misspoke when I said 'sub forum', I probably just meant 'forum'...as in a new section on DN.ca for joint ventures

But anyway, like I said, just a suggestion and I'm not in any way explicitly asking for it

Looks like your domain's value increased 791 USD (1,007.57 CAD) since you made this post lol.

I knew appraisal prices occasionally get adjusted but that's a pretty big jump for such a short period of time. Maybe this is another domain you can consider for NamesCon? lol

Also, plans.com sold for 70K USD at the 2008 T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference: https://dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2008/domainsales11-11-08.htm

If you applied the 10% rule (of the .COM price) you could price it at 7K USD, for an enduser anyway. Also worth pointing out how the .com was bought by a domain investor and not an enduser, HOWEVER, the .com is currently for sale too... They are using a Uni lander for it atm and I can't find a price for it, but I saw it has 58 bids for the listing at Sedo.

It’s interesting that according to GoDaddy’s appraisal that it’s gone up $1000. Makes you wonder how that even happens in about a month and a half. Maybe the price of some .ca’s were reported?

I can try this one for Namescon. I’ll keep the reserve reasonable.

It’s remarkable that plans.com sold for $70K USD and no site went on it. Maybe someone had big dreams for it that went down the toilet.

Thanks again for your research [notify]Esdiel[/notify]. Send me the Bill.

T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conferences saw many investor to investor sales in the 5 figure range and above.

Maybe their plans changed? ;-) I'll see myself out.

Lame and it broken algorithm that adjusts in real-time based on their ongoing sales

Just a counter point here...

Based on their ongoing sales?

They are the biggest seller of domains in the world so technically their sales should count to establish some value to similar domains.

Point is the godaddy evaluations can be used as a guide for everyday transactions whoever when you get a direct match hit and someone has to have your domain then all bets are off. For domains not in demand the evaluation tools at least provide a guide to similar sales and one can use it as a reference point when making decisions.

I often look at godaddy, estibot and namesworth but in the end I draw my own conclusions. No different than advertising your house, the realtor can say your neighbours sold for x amount but if you have the sweet lot then you can decide to ask more.

Thanks. Maybe the buyer is from here but the offer came from GD. The initial offer was my BIN on here (in US funds) which I thought was ironic (Alanis Morrissette anyone?). I countered a little higher but in the end, accepted the offer.

I wasn’t attached to this name like a lot of my names so i was happy with the price.

It’s still amazing how much GD charges in commission. They have to be one of the highest in the industry.

A hint here..... I always forward my names to my contact page even though they are listed on godaddy.

If you wait a couple of days to respond the person will usually contact you via the lander therefore removing the commission.
